VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT DYNAMIC HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE
We welcome volunteers from all "walks of life," cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. Our volunteer program is designed to provide resources and assistance to families & patients through other means than in-home comfort care. Our volunteers excel in being knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate. We welcome volunteers who have a desire to help patients and families, have an understanding of the hospice care journey, and have unique skills sets to offer our patient and their families.
we have different types of volunteer opportunities available including:
Administrative Volunteers
Administrative Volunteers provide assistance and help our Hospice and Palliative services in-office team, by providing support to our office staff with data entry, mailings, and other clerical tasks.
Patient and Family Care Volunteers
Patient and family services volunteers provide companionship through constant visits to the patient's home. These volunteers accompany the patient and their family and provide support where is necessary.
Specialized Skills Volunteers
We also welcome volunteers with specialized skills for specialized care activities. Volunteers with artistic, musical, and other unique skills can become part of our specialized volunteer program that allows patients to participate in a different array of artistic activities.
Complimentary Care Volunteers
Volunteers can also become part of our complimentary care volunteer program. This group of volunteers is a professional group that can provide patients with massage therapy, aromatherapy, or artistic healing therapy.
Pet Therapy Volunteers
We have a pet therapy program that provides comfort and companionship. Our volunteers and their specially trained pets are screened prior to visiting any of our patient's homes. These volunteers can then visit patients at their homes to provide comfort and companionship.

Who can become part of our Volunteering Team?
We welcome all individuals who are interested in becoming part of our volunteering team. Some important qualities that we are looking for in our Hospice care volunteers include: Reliability, Respect, Empathy, Patience, Communication skills, Listening skills, and other compassionate qualities. To become part of our volunteering programs you must be 18 years old, have a complete understanding of the Hospice and Palliative Care process, complete our in-office training, and pass a background check.

After you have submitted your application, a member of our team will contact you to conduct an interview and discuss all volunteering opportunities. An introductory training will follow the initial interview, and then you will be paired up with our patients to begin volunteer visits.
